I took my blood sugar this morning and it was 108(if you know anything about diabetes you know that's good).
I watched Control last night. It was SO good. It's the story of Ian Curtis, the lead singer of the band Joy Division(who went on to become New Order)
George Carlin died.He was only 71.
Street Scene has some good bands this year.over a couple of days. But $75?(and that's *before* the Ticketbastard service fee.)I'm considering going to the Radiohead show later on this summer(the tickets for that are a decent(ish) price, at least.
The bands I want to see at Street Scene:
Beck, X,Vampire Weekend(heard a song of theirs on Sirius that I really liked),Spiritualized and Devotchka(who did the music in Little Miss Sunshine)
Bands I'm kind of interested in seeing:
TV On The Radio(I saw them at a radio station thing a few years back, with a bunch of bands),Spoon,The Hives,Tegan and Sara.
They've moved it again though. This year Street Scene is going to be in the East Village area of downtown, right next to Petco Park.

I didn't know this:Rev. Fred Phelps(of Westboro Baptist Church fame) used to be a civil rights lawyer.Given his history,I find that ironic(yeah,I really do think)

Even though it looks like a completely crap movie, I want to see Wanted,if only for the James McAvoy factor.I like Morgan Freeman(he's a national treasure),but can't stand Angelina Jolie.

The domino and mah jongg games on this website are addictive.

I've got another show I'm addicted to: The Verminators on the Discovery Channel. It's about pest control guys and man, they see some really gross stuff.Like last night, they had a house with pigeons living in the attic. The pest control guy was like "this place stinks!" pretty much right when he walked in the house. When they went up in the attic they found out why.
There were a ton of piegons up there and..how to put this delicately.....they made a mess. And they had been up there making a mess for a while.
The people living in the house were, surprisingly, not sick from living in the house. The pest control guys had to come in and decontaminate the house and make it so that the pigeons couldn't get in the attic again.
Fugly doesn't even begin to describe the redo of the Cinematical website. They should have left it the way it was(white background, black type, pretty standard ,y/k?

Howard Stern played a couple of tracks from Scarlett Johanson's new album the other day(yep, girlfriend has a new
This is an interesting article but some of the songs that are on there surprise me.

*I love the B52's.But their late 80's stuff is hit or miss at best. They just put out a new album that sounds like everything else they've done,IMO
** To me this is a quintessential Christmas song.
Yesterday I made a pot roast.I'd never done so before.I prefer them when they're made by my sister-in-law Rachel(she makes an *awesome* pot roast,as does my mom).Mine was okay, but the smell of pot roast is all up in my house. It's making me a little nauseous, actually.Still, I might make it again.Just not for a while :P

I watched The Darjeeling Limited yesterday.I LOVED it.It's definitely one of those love it or hate it type movies.that's for sure.

Yesterday was a busy day for me,I got a lot done(so I can be lazy today;tomorrow I am going to try to go to the gym and do a little housework when I get home from that.)

I have to admit that I've only thought about my parents a couple of times a day since they left. That's good because it means that I'm keeping myself occupied whilst they're gone.I always have all sorts of adventures when they're gone.

Green Day are playing at the Belly Up(as Foxboro Hot Tubs) tomorrow. It's kinda a badly kept secret that it's them.In any case, tickets are $20(very reasonable for the Belly Up!)I'm not going but my brother Steve is so I'll find out how they were from him.

What part of "spoiler" in the subject line of a post do people not get?I've seen a lot of people complaining that they are getting spoilers for Bond 22...because they click on threads that *clearly* have SPOILER in the subject line. Please excuse my use of vernacular but are these people retarded?Srsly.
Coachella is this weekend.I can't believe that it's been almost a year ago that I went to Coachella myself.Been there.done that, probably won't do it again(unless someone I really want to see plays Coachella that is)

I forgot to mention this but when I bought that dress for my cousin's wedding the other day it was a size 16.I haven't been able to fit into a size 16 for a long time. That made me happy.Going to the gym and eating right have paid off,to be sure :)

For some reason this story amuses me:Tony Blair was caught on a train without a ticket, and without any money.Oops.Apparently he thinks he's in the Royal family :P

I'm so proud of my dad-he took the Coaster(commuter train that goes from Oceanside to San Diego-the Sprinter is the train that goes from Oceanside to Escondido)to dontown San Diego. He had to go down to downtown for jury duty.Turns out that it worked out really well for him and I'm glad he took the train.

I've been having odd dreams-last night I had one about Grey's Anatomy-which was a bit of a WTF since I don't watch that show.
