- This happened a few days ago but I wanted to mention the FCC fine for Janet Jackson's "incident" at the Superbowl a couple of years ago being thrown out,The reaction was over the top to be sure, and they made it sound like a TON of people complained but really it was the same people calling in over and over again.
- Sam The Cooking Guy served Kathie Lee Gifford and Hilda Kob the other day.They were on the later Today show and were talking over him.He got sick of it and told them to shut it.Heh.
- Estelle Getty died.I wasn't really a Golden Girls fan but I was sad to hear that she died :(
- On their way back to Oklahoma City,my brother and his wife and their kids stopped in Austin so that my niece could check out the University Of Texas(she thought it was too big) and Baylor in Waco. She's going into her senior year of high school in a few weeks so the decision about where she has to go to college has to be made fairly soon.Of course, my parents,brother,sister-in-law, niece and nephews and I would LOVE it if she went to UCSD ;)
- The whole Christian Bale assault thing is kinda sketchy,no?I get the feeling that we're not getting every part of the story but from what I know of it he is estranged from his family, and his sister asked for a huge amount of money so she can raise her kid.Also, his mom hasn't exactly been kind where his wife is concerned(CB's wife is very pretty;I've seen pictures of her.)I think both his mom and his sister are trying to find things to bust his chops about.

Usually,as soon my head hits the pillow I am out like a light.Not last night.I did NOT sleep very well at all last night.But surprisngly I feel refreshed even so(I can function well even with only a few hours of sleep.I've always been that way.)
Yesterday,I realised that I couldn't remember when the last time I had a cup of coffee was.And I haven't felt any ill effects from it...yet.I would go get some coffee but it's hot out. *iced* coffee maybe?
The perfect combination of relaxing and getting things done :)
....to just post the most inane crap I can but as I said yesterday that would be giving certain people a LOT of satisfaction.
It;s been HOT here the last few days.Usually, this time of year I have to sleep with a TON of blankets on me.The last few nights?No blankets.Well,the night before last it got a *little* bit cooler so I had one blanket.It's supposed to cool down though(thank goodness.)
I went to Escondido on the Sprinter and the walked to the Barnes and Noble nearby.Whilst I was in Barnes and Noble they were playing this CD I was really liking so I went into the music section to see what it was.
Turns out it was Goldfrapp's Seventh Tree.I bought it.I have't listened to the whole CD yet,but I really liked what I heard.Before I get people saying "you've only *just* discovered Goldfrapp?"No. I've known about Goldfrapp for a while. I've always kinda been put off by Alison Goldfrapp herself.She always comes off as a mega beeyotch in most interviews with her that I've read.But I may go out and buy everything else that Goldfrapp has done now.
I've started telling more and more family members about this blog.And it got me thinking:There isn't anything too controversial,or edgy about it.I mean,once in a while I'll post something that's a little PG or PG-13(and in those cases,I let people know.)
This is why I'm kinda sorry that we don't have the LJ-cut here.I can think of a handful of posts that I've written that I would have needed it for,but in a couple of istances it would have been nice.
Some of my posts about religion might be seen as controversial,but to each his or her own.If you don't like what I have to say,that's fine.I'm amazed that I haven't got more reaction to some of my posts about religion.People around here are openminded(though there was one weird person who would spam me with weird replies to some of my posts about religion.That,thank goodness,hasn't happened in a long time.)
Same with politics.I have very distinct opinions where politics is concerned.I haven't talked about politics much(yet) this year but as the year goes on I will be more and more.Consider yourself forewarned :P
