The fact that Bond 22 now has a title... Quantum of Solace.Yup!
OR
The fact that State Of Play-based on a British miniseries-has started filming after a series of false starts. But it's not coming out 'till 2009.Darn.Kevin Macdonald, who directed The Last King of Scotland, is directing,so you know it'll be good-at least I hope so.
Cause what part of Gemma Arterton is NOT playing Miss Moneypenny are they not understanding?Honestly! Her character is callled Fields(whether that's referring to the fact she works out in the field or it's something else remains to be seen)Some people are saying that she's Miss Moneypenny but they're not calling her that.Obviously, I don't buy that in any way, shape or form.EON(the company that produces the Bond films)has firmly said that Moneypenny is NOT going to be in Bond 22, but people still think she will be in there in some way.
I'm excited that things are starting to take shape, though.Another Bond girl was announced, she is from the Ukraine(blanking on her name-yeah yeah I know what kind of fan of the Bond films am I.Whatever.)EDITED TO ADD:Her name is Olga Kurylenko.)
By the way,I saw The Invasion(starring Daniel Craig) the first night of the cruise. It wasn't bad.I've seen a lot worse, believe it or not.
The new season of Wife Swap started last night.I enjoyed the hell out of it.They had a feminist mom swapping lives with a stage mom(her daughter was in pageants;had been since she was 11 months old(!) ) Surprisingly, I found myself siding with the feminist mom a lot more than the stage mom.The feminist mom was not at all like I thought she would be;I consider myself a feminist but my definition of feminism is probably different from other peoples'.

My mom and I did Meals On Wheels today. We had a whole bunch-12-of people.I didn't mind though.I always enjoy doing Meals On Wheels.

Bond 22 started filming today-no real news, just confirmation about who is going to be in the film, that sort of thing. No word on a title or anything but I suspect that's coming soon(at least I hope it is..people at the James Bond boards I post on are anxious for a title to be announced.)
So people on the James Bond message board I post on are finding stuff online which(for the most part)is taken out of context.I'm not sure which of the stories are true and which are b.s. One report has the new Bond film being called 007. I'm not convinced it's true, but so help me,it's growing on me.It wouldn't be the worst title, but I can imagine all of the controversy on the boards if it is.
Thing is, people believe the rumours(well, until someone official(like EON,the company that produces the Bond films) confirms it or denies it.The official announcement(cast, title, etc.)about Bond 22 is going to be in early January,Until then, the rumours will keep on coming.
Mathieu Amalric. He was in Munich with Daniel Craig. Now all we need is a title(people are already getting pissy that Bond 22 is still titled erm, Bond 22 at this point :P)and we are good to goi!
It's funny how things get misread-Max Von Sydow(MERRIN!!) said something that was misinterpeted as that Amalric's character is Blofeld(from the old school Bond films, who has been parodied as Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers movies.) This means that(unless Blofeld got a retooling)it would NOT be taken seriously(does that makes sense?)
In fact there have been a LOT of rumours about Daniel Craig, and the Bond films going around, not all of them positive. A lot of those have been posted on the Bond messageboard I post on.I don't think the people who post them realise how posting stuff like that gets some people there going.
It's a phenomenon that seems to be most common in fandoms:There is always at least one a$$hole in the bunch, and on the Bond boards I post on,that's definitely the case.
Apparently they are casting for extras in Panama, so Panama will feature in the next Bond film.Cool.And not so long ago the producers were looking at locations in Switzerland and Austria-and now there's ANOTHER rumour that Bond's childhood may feature in the next movie. That's been known for a while. I call bull$hit.First off,Switzerland and Austria are both close to Lake Como, which was where the end of Casino Royale(and the scenes where Bond is in the hospital garden) were filmed. It's more likely that Switzerland will feature in the beginning,if not first few scenes, of Bond 22
I went to my foot doctor to get a blister I was worried about checked out.Turned out in the docs' checking my foot out that I have a ingrown toenail-amongst other things.Anyhow the doc took care of it and I have a bandaged foot and have to wear a special thing on my foot(like when you break your foot)for a week.It is uncomfortable and already I think it is teh suxors.
That is,barring the strike running long.Still no title, but it's early days yet,you know. The rumours about who is going to play the villain, and who are going to play the Bond Girl(s)are starting to heat up.
LOL some stupid journalist said that Daniel Craig should hang it up already.Seems like a LOT of people think that his signing up to do a total of 5 Bond films is a bad idea.I personally think he'll fizzle out before he does his 5 films(shocking,I know!).But when you sign up for being James Bond, you get associated with the role for life, for better or worse.Daniel Craig seems like he likes being Bond, despite all the crap he got from people at the outset, but hed rather be doing non-Bond type projects ,when he can so people don't always see him as James Bond.
Sean Connery(and I think he is THE best Bond, with Daniel Craig a close second)always seemed OK with being Bond, but he's let the roles he's chosen post-Bond define him,IMO.
There's a poster at the James Bond messageboard I post on who is officially, in my opinion, now the village idiot. And then some. He wants plotholes from the last Bond movie explained to him,and then when someone tries to explain it to him, he just goes "Hunh?" He's done this several times on a thread that *he* started(which is now closed).I'm sure when he finds out that that thread's been closed there will be much pissing and moaning.
A bunch of Iraqi -American men-who were in San Diego teaching our boys at Camp Pendelton to speak Arabic-were yanked off a plane because some beeyotch heard them speaking Arabic and panicked. There wasn't anything about it on the news yesterday so I think the airline(American)felt pretty damn stupid.Especially stupid since they listened to this woman compain and gave into her compaining which caused the entire flight to be cancelled.Nice going.
EDITED TO ADD:
The woman who voiced her concerns is named Leigh Robbins.Let's all point and laugh at her, because she deserves it.
She claims that she would apologise to the men she thought were terrorists.Apparently officials weren't too happy about having to cancel a flight(can you blame them?)She said that one of the men went in the bathroom and was making a lot of noise(has this bitch ever used the bathroom on a plane?they're tiny!)
Anyways,I think she should incur some sort of fee for inconveniencing her fellow passengers and being a paranoid beeyotch.
San Diego is on FIRE sports wise!both the Chargers and the Padres are taking names right now!And I didn't know this but Oceanside(where I live)is one of the places being considered for the Chargers' new stadium.I don't know where they would put it,though.
Yeaterday my dad and I did Meals On Wheels, and it went really well until the very end when one of the people we deliver Meals On Wheels to wasn't answering the door.I won't lie and tell you I wasn't worried(turns out that everything was OK!)
Today is a dark day.Daniel Craig is engaged to his girlfriend Satsuki. Nah,not really!Mazel tov to the happy couple. I suspect it'll take a while for the two of them to actually get married, unless they do so before he starts work on the next James Bond film. And apparently they are doing some filming for the next James Bond film(again!)
Wow.40 entries this month.I think that's the most ever in one month.I attribute that to the fact that I've been posting 2(and sometimes 3)times a day!
Lindsay Lohan is at a rehab run by Mormons(I almost wrote Morons :P).She was seen outside of the LDS Missionary center in Provo Utah. That had certain tongues wagging.First, because she is a non-Mormon,and also because she's been so screwed up in the past.
The best would be if she actually converted to the Mormon faith.I hope those Mormons are a good influence on her(can't believe I'm saying that!).It would be worth it to hear all the comments from certain Mormons I know, who think she's the Antichrist(Mind you,I don't think she's much better...)

Daniel Craig has been in Siena, Italy, where they are filming scenes for the new James Bond film)This will be the second Bond film in a row where they're in Italy( For Casino Royale the Villa Balbianello on Lake Como-more specifically the gardens-were used in the scenes where Bond recovers after being tortured.)
EDITED TO ADD A LINK TO PICTURES :)

I LOVE that show Welcome To The Parker on Bravo, but I can't help but think that some of the stuff on there is faked(if you've seen it you know what I mean.)Plus, that hotel is so ugly. There's a big cinderblock wall in front of the main building.I think they were trying for a retro look but failed.Miserably.
(Interesting fact about that particular Parker hotel-in Palm Springs-they have a clothing optional pool(!)
