I took my blood sugar this morning and it was 108(if you know anything about diabetes you know that's good).
I went to my diabetes doctor and got another good report.Everything(my cholesterol,etc.) is as it should be :) Plus the lady who drew my blood did it really quickly(it wasn't the gal who usually does it but she did just as good of a job!)
The Miley Ray Cyrus thing is so many different levels of disturbing it is not even funny.Ugh.A child(and she IS a child) should not be photographed the way that she was.I know some people who would call her a "hottie". *vomits*. If someone called her a "hottie" I have no problem with reporting them.Srsrly.

The parents of a little girl who died because they refused to take their daughter, who was diabetic, to a doctor(they decided to pray for her instead) are being arrested and charged.Damn right.This kid should have been seeing a doctor at least once in a while,even if her parents were not trusting of doctors.Being a diabetic myself(though I think this little girl was a Type 1 diabetic)I know how important seeing doctors and keeping my sugars low is.

I know that I'm not really one to talk,since I don't have any kids(I have nieces and nephews),but Leah Remini, formerly of The King Of Queens, is whacked in the head.Her daughter is four years old, FOUR, and she is allowed to have six bottles a night, and is still in diapers.Um, what?Seriously,aren't most kids drinking out of normal cups at that age,to say nothing of out of diapers.Yes,they might still wear Good Nights(a lot of kids wet the bed,so they're necessary)..but diapers?All the time?
This must be some sort of L. Ron Hubbard thing(Leah and her husband are Scientologists).I know Suri Cruise is never told "No" to anything so def. a Scientology thing.

I watched Bones last night.Normally I wouldn't have watched it but they had a storyline with a baby,who was so cute.I could not figure out how old the kid was supposed to be though-the kid had quite a few teeth,so maybe he was closer to a year old,than whatever age they said(6 or 7 months,I think..)
Artie was back on the Stern show this morning.I was surprised,but I wasn't.After the way he blew up before they went on vacation I thought for sure that he wouldn't be.But he was,and in fine form,too.Whilst they were on vacation the Artie situation was like the elephant in the room.

Yahoo has video from last night's 60 Minutes about a surgery(it's sort of like the stomach bypass)which cures-yes you heard that right cures-diabetes, on their homepage.The people that have had this surgery went off of their diabetes medication within days of having the surgery.
The only thing is,is that you have to be in bad shape to have the surgery.And there are probably risks,just like with *any* stomach bypass surgery.Though I know several people-invisiblesparks is one of them-who have been helped by that surgery.
Speaking of diabetes,I went to my diabetes doc today and things are still good,so I'm happy about that :)
So I got referred to a new podiatrist.One I can actually get to on the bus.My former podiatrist(I am never going back there-more about that in a minute) was out of the way and my mom had to drive me there every time.
This new podiatrist we were referred to recently but I had to wait.I kinda wish that we hadn't had to wait to see him but oh well.Well.Turns out he's a GREAT guy, *and* he knows what he's doing *and* he's cute.REALLY cute.
So all of the problems I've been having(diabetics have to stay of top of problems with their nails and sores on their feet/toes that don't heal)and the shoes I was wearing made it worse-which has been my problem.The other problem is that I had these inserts in my shoes that were supposed to help-but they weren't.The guy I had been seeing was doing everything wrong.
A lot of wrongs were righted yesterday.

My parents and I went to a St. Patrick's Day party yesteday at friends of theirs' house.Oh.My.God.It was SO good.It was salty, and fatty and delicious and(surprisingly)better than mine.The flavours were PERFECT.

I had a appointment with my diabetes doctor.Things are still going well(yay!)which I was glad to hear.I am nothing,if not careful when it comes to my diabetes.I don't want to get compilcations and have to live with them for the rest of my life.
I went to my diabetes doc today and the news is still good, so I was happy about that:)

The soup I made yesterday was good,but not that good.I don't know why,but it didn't taste as good today as when I tried it yesterday.weird.I mean it wasn't inedible,but it could have been better.

My mom and I went to the mall after my doctor's appointment and hung out there for a few hours.I found a couple of skirts that might be good to wear to my cousin's wedding in July(yeah,I'm already thinking about what I want to wear already!)
I looked at the Sarah Jessica Parker clothing line at Steve And Barry's and at Torrid(they just opened a Torrid store at the Carlsbad mall).I saw a few things that I like there too.But the stuff at Torrid is expensive.The Sarah Jessica Parker Bitten stuff is nice, and way more affordable.
I didn't wake up until well after 12(noon) today.That is unusual for me.I'm a night owl but I'll blame it on the weather.It's the sort of weather that makes you so comfortable you just want to stay in bed all day.Luckily I didn't have anything important to do today(about which more in a minute.)
I went to my foot doctor.I'm a little bit worried beause my (blood) sugar was up.Way up.Which is very unusual for me but I know the cause of it so I won't do it again.In any case, my foot doctor said that he can tell, when he's treating my problems, if my sugars are very high.It's hard to explain if you're not a diabetic.In any case I can't lie to him about my blood sugar :P
The goverment in Pakistan is backing off from their statement that Benazir Bhutto died from hitting her head.I seriously doubt you could die from hitting your head.Get a concussion or have brain damage, maybe.But dying?c'mon. The great thing is that people are calling bullsh!t.As well they should.

Went back to the gym for the first time in a while.I've been having some issues related to my feet and being diabetic, and wasn't sure if it was OK to going to the gym.But my foot doctor gave me the all clear so I went back to the gym today..and it felt good!Being on the cruise is going to be tricky...all that good food and everything!But they have GREAT workout facilities on the ship,so I'm going to be there a LOT,I can tell:)

Got a nice surprise this morning-Howard Stern was back from vacation-2 weeks-I thought he was going to be on vacation for at least another week so that was awesome!
I went to my foot doctor to get a blister I was worried about checked out.Turned out in the docs' checking my foot out that I have a ingrown toenail-amongst other things.Anyhow the doc took care of it and I have a bandaged foot and have to wear a special thing on my foot(like when you break your foot)for a week.It is uncomfortable and already I think it is teh suxors.
